Import your Goodreads shelves

Pull a shelf, or every book you've shelved, into a book tier list or any other builder with real covers. No login, no CSV export, nothing written back to Goodreads.

1Connect your Goodreads profile

Paste the link to your Goodreads profile or one of your shelves, or type your Goodreads username. Nothing to sign in to: Bookadoro reads the public shelf feed Goodreads publishes for every profile, so your profile needs to be set to public.

Where do I find my profile link?

In the Goodreads app, open your profile and tap the share icon; on the website, click your avatar and choose Profile, then copy the address bar (it looks like goodreads.com/user/show/12345678-jane). Any shelf page link works too.

Goodreads to book tier list, without the cover hunt

Your Goodreads read shelf already holds every book you'd want to rank. Searching them again one by one, or exporting a CSV and uploading covers to a generic tier list maker, is the slow part. This import reads the public feed Goodreads keeps for each shelf, keeps the covers, and drops the books unranked into the book tier list maker, the bookshelf grid or the year in books card. Rank, export a PNG for TikTok or Instagram, or save a share link.

Frequently asked questions

How do I import my Goodreads books into a tier list?

Paste the link to your Goodreads profile (or a shelf, or just your username) and load your shelves. Pick a shelf or all books, untick anything you don't want, choose the book tier list builder and open it. Every imported book waits on the unranked bench with its cover, ready to drag into a tier.

Do I need to log in to Goodreads or export a CSV?

No. Goodreads publishes a public feed for every shelf, and the import reads that. Your profile does need to be public: in Goodreads go to Settings → Privacy and allow anyone to view your profile. Nothing is written back to Goodreads.

Which shelves can I import?

Any of them: read, currently reading, to-read, and every custom shelf you've made (favourites, 2025-reads, dnf…). You can also import all your books at once and filter by ticking covers.

Which builders can I import into?

All eight: the book tier list, bookshelf grid, year in books, currently reading, year in reading, reading calendar, reading bingo and book bracket. Builders with a free-form list take all the books at once; builders with fixed slots (bingo squares, calendar days, bracket slots) offer your imported books as one-tap picks.

Is there a limit on how many books I can import?

The import loads up to 2,000 books, newest first. For sharing, a shelf of 20–60 books makes a far better-looking image than a whole library, so pick a shelf like your favourites or this year's reads.

Is the Goodreads import free?

Yes. Like every Bookadoro builder it is free and needs no account. Download the result as an image or save a share link.
