Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Bookadoro mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Bookadoro ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Bookadoro. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Bookadoro Plus — Auto-Renewable Subscription

• What's included: All reading analytics, exclusive app themes, and 3 Streak Shields credited each month.
• Subscription length: Monthly (auto-renews every month).
• Price: As displayed in the app at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by region and are set in your local currency.
• Free trial: If a free trial is offered, payment will be charged at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Managing your subscription: You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.

One-Time Purchases

• Stats Pro: A one-time purchase that permanently unlocks all reading analytics in the app.
• Streak Shields (3-pack): A consumable purchase of three Streak Shields, which protect your reading streak for one day each when you miss a day.

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not store your payment information. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
• Use automated tools or scripts to interact with the Service
• Upload or transmit content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or our systems

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as your reading logs and profile information). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and display your content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

6. Intellectual Property

The Bookadoro app, including its design, graphics, features, and content (excluding user content), is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app and requesting account deletion.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you in-app. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
