Frequently asked questions
What is a book review graphic?
A shareable image of one book's review: the real cover, title and author, your star rating, a few lines on what you thought, and optionally scores for parts like plot, characters and writing. It's the format Bookstagram and BookTok use for review posts, Stories and Reddit threads.
Can I rate the plot and characters separately?
Yes. Add any of the suggested aspects (characters, plot, writing, pacing, world-building, emotional impact, ending, spice) or name your own, and give each a score out of five. They're all optional; leave them out for a simple star rating and review.
Can I give half stars?
Yes. Tap the left half of a star for a half rating, so a 3.5 or 4.5 shows exactly as you meant it. Prefer hearts? Switch the rating icons to hearts.
How do I change the look?
Pick one of three layouts (side by side, spotlight cover or quote first), six fonts from classic serif to handwritten journal and typewriter, an accent colour for the stars, a background preset or any custom colour, and a size: 4:5 for Instagram posts, square, or 9:16 for Stories and TikTok.
Where does the cover come from? Do I have to upload it?
No uploads. Search the book by title or author and the real cover and author come from a live book database, the same search every Bookadoro builder uses.
Is the book review template free?
Yes, completely free with no account. Download the image or save a share link; every export includes a small QR code so others can make their own.
